COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Cypress Brown Ale is a bold, American-style brown ale that would make our phriends from Vermont proud. It is made with lots of English brown malt to give a deep, smoky roastiness. Caramel and chocolatey characters abound along with an earthy hop aroma and flavor.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a nice mahogany color, clear but dark with an off white head. The aroma has great notes of strong toffee, cocoa and toast. Kind of like a Heath bar without all the sweetness. The flavor is more toffee, toast, mild red berries, and a hint of mineral tartness and toastiness in the finish. Dry. A great session beer.

Classic looking brown. See through. Nice off white head. Aroma is brown sugars and caramel malts. Taste is slightly roasted, caramel, no hops, very good for a low ABV beer! Tastefull!

Dark brown/light amber pour with a soapy off-white head. Coffee grounds and roasted malt on the nose. A hint of chocolate, some cocoa powder, and a bit of coffee grounds. The flavor is semi-sweet with some toffee and bread malt notes. A little bit of earthy hops, some cocoa powder, a light coffee note, and some dark chocolate bitterness.

Aroma is a bit light with roastiness, some peanuts, hints of coffee and licorice. Flavour has coffee and licorice with a dry, nutty finish. Smooth and a bit watery palate. Your typical Brown Ale.

On tap into a snifter. Dark brown with little head. Aroma is malt without much else. Flavor is malty and chocolatey with Rosemary. Creamy with a slightly spicy note. Overall a decent brown ale.

On tap, bartender said this was made with no hops, but Rosemary instead...? I definitely taste and smell Rosemary, color is dark for a brown. Pretty cool being on haight street though! Interesting...

A pretty solid brown ale. Nice malty flavor, although a bit subtle. Really wish there was some more flavor so it could be a truly nice beer.

On tap at Giordano Bros. Cloudy medium brown color with a small light beige head. Nutty aroma with caramel and chocolate notes. The flavor has a good nuttiness and a nice sweetness level with some butterscotch, toffee, and milk chocolate. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. A really solid brown ale.
