Dark brown. Upfront liquorice, toffee malts. Light body but smokey, toffeeish malts make this is pleasurable brown and the only fully realized beer I had at Magnolia.

On tap, bartender said this was made with no hops, but Rosemary instead...? I definitely taste and smell Rosemary, color is dark for a brown. Pretty cool being on haight street though! Interesting...

A pretty solid brown ale. Nice malty flavor, although a bit subtle. Really wish there was some more flavor so it could be a truly nice beer.

Draught at the Giants Brewfest. Darker brown with a beige head. Toasty malt aroma with a touch of roast. The flavor is dry and snappy with a toasty, lightly smokey flavor and a touch of chocolatey roast. Light bodied. Low hop character. Drinkable and refreshing for a brown, but missing a little of the rich malt that i like in the style.
