2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Magnolia, pours a clear copper orange with a small beige head. Aroma is very subtle, with toasted herbal notes. Flavour tastes like nothing, just some subtle toasted malt with an English twist. Boring as hell - nothing to this.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
10 ounce sample on tap at the brewery last weekend. Spicy and grassy hop aroma with light underlying sweetness. Transparent orange-copper body with a small, light tan head. Starts with some cereal-like flavors. Light toasted malts follow. Lightly sweet caramel, too. Finishes with low grass hop flavor. Pretty drinkable.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Awful diacetyl bomb. Butter, caramel on the nose, and in the flavor. The finish is butter, vaguely English hops. Thin in body. Not good. Wish I could try just one good example of this style.

Pours a copper brown colour with a white head. Aroma of toasted malts, almonds and biscuit. Flavour of toasted malts, biscuit, almonds and really strong grassy hops. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a grassy nutty finish. Decent.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Orange red brown with a medium-sized head of mixed bubbles. This is a creamy textured and slightly buttery bitter. It’s just a little tart and a bit grainy as well. I was impressed by Magnolia’s mild but this isn’t doing it for me.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours amber in color with an off-white head. Smells sort of...mild. Bread and malt aromas with some toast. Some butter on the nose, maybe some floral hops. Grassy hops, some mineral qualities, and popcorn. Pretty typical Magnolia beer flavors.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft... Medium clear copper, nice light tan head, great retention... Smells great sweet toffee with vanilla... A touch too watery, more toffee, sweet note is gone, a light bitter finish... Solid

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rating from tap (cask was available as well). Pours with a completely clear penny hued body with a small and resilient bone colored head. Aromas are bready, toasty, estery. Diacetyl (butterscotch in this case), hay and a low hop aroma. Flavors are nutty, husky, bready, with an assertive bitterness. Some astringency. Faint esters, a touch of diacetyl (that seems to contribute to a fuller body). Bitterness is a bit grabby. Medium to short duration. Medium bubbles. Decent body, with a bit of slickness. A touch of minerallity in the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours light copper with a rich beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a slightly watery caramel malt flavor with the requisite dry bitterness. Very drinkable.
