A: The pour is a pale straw/yellow color with a fluffy and dense white head. S: Lots and lots of spices on the nose. I get a fair amount of coriander and perhaps some bitter orange peel. There seems to be a fair amount of pepper to it as well. A decent malt/bread component, but it doesn’t necessarily stand out. T: This is surprisingly bitter for a witbier. Quite a bit of white pepper flavor to go with the coriander and citrus peel. A decent enough malt flavor and some tart lemon notes (wasn’t really expecting that). M: The body is light to medium with a moderate to high level of carbonation. D: Not terribly offensive, I must say. Drinkable, especially by Magnolia’s standards.

On tap at the brewpub (listed at 4.9%). Pours with a huge white head over a clear golden body. Aroma of banana, clove, fennel, grass and dried grain. Very much like a hefe. Flavors of vanilla, bubblegum, banana esters, dried apricot and ginger. I would have guess that this was a Kristalweizen had I not asked. Lively bubbles with a dry and crisp finish. Well made.

Draft. Hazy light amber beer with an off-white head. Wheat and light citrus aroma. Wheat and citrus flavor with light yeast and spice. Medium-light bodied. Refreshing. Spice and light herbal notes linger with light citrus and light wheat.
