Described at the pub as an English IPA, and it definitely felt it--malty, somewhat dirty, and definitely distinguished from American IPAs. Not very drinkable, to me. (on tap at brewpub)

Draft. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops and grass. The flavor is sweet wtih strong notes of malt as well as medium notes of caramel and hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish where a note of hay lingers. The alcohol burns in the throat.

Sampled during RBSG 7/9/2009 on tap at the brewpub. Cask version sampled. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange and citrusy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and citrusy. Nice balance. Nice soft carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is light malty with a faint hoppy note. Subdued sweet malt flavoured. Light bitterness coming through. Fruity and hoppy finish with a nice malt base to counterbalance this.

Cask @ the brewpub. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a long fruity and hoppy bitter finish with hints of citrus leading to a long slghitly bitter aftertaste.
