Bebida en Magnolia en cask! No esta mal,un poco demasiado torrefacta, cosa que hace que no se note tanto los 70 ibus que lleva. No esta mal si se acompaña de algunos magníficos quesos que tienen!

Sample at the brewpub on 8/4/10 as Sippin’ Into Darkness (it’s a pun, get it?). Just going to assume it’s the same beer. Darkest brown to black pour with a medium tan head. Roasty malt aroma with a bit of chocolate and some nice hop bitterness. Roasty coffee flavor with some chocolate and a bitter hop finish. Not knowing the style, I would have considered it more of a hoppy stout (like Storm King) as opposed to a Black IPA because while there was plenty of hop bitterness, the individual character of the hops used was not evident. Still a good beer and one of the best they had on this day.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2006 I like this beer. The only thing I could use to describe it is "a dark IPA". Very tasty. Nice aroma, rich and dark, with a definite hoppiness (more grassy than citrusy, I’d say) and perhaps a hint of diacetyl. It is a dark beer -- darker than even the "brown" would otherwise imply but looks fantastic in the glass. Was medium-full on the palate and had all kinds of flavors (dark, roasty malts, licorice, and, of course, citrusy and floral hop notes). Not everyone’s cup o’ tea, to be sure, but really an excellent example of a beer that pushes out into all kinds of new areas and dares to defy the normal style guidelines ... well worth a glass or two while you can get it.
