COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spooky Tooth is more of a classic dry stout, a little less strong, a little more malt/hop balance, and a sharp, coffeelike bitterness from the roast barley.

This is a decent stout, but personally I think it’s a bit lackluster. It certainly needs a little bit more flavor and aroma. Use more malt, Magnolia!

Great looking nitro pour, large, creamy head with a black body. Minty, roasted coffee aroma. Biting body, smooth chocolate and coffee tones. Toasted, bitter finish.

Draft @ Magnolia’s. Pours a very dark, chocolate-brown color; medium-tan head, creamy with great retention and fine-bubbled lacing; great pour. Nicely dry, roasted malts and dark bitter chocolate in the aroma; nougat and chewy chocolate and some floral notes. Medium mouthfeel: nicely full, highly drinkable British-style stout; nicely acidic coffee and bitter chocolate and light citrus; filled-out; almost a touch of Fantome-like yeasty funk. Lengthy finish: dry, bitter chocolate, coffee, and nicely toasty.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, firm creamy head. Roasty coffee aroma. Dry and creamy with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Typical Irish stout is enery way - light, dry, creamy, coffeish roasty and bitter.

Black pour, light tan head. Very light aroma, reminiscent of Guinness (which is bad). Light roast, coffee and chocolate are here, light hops. Another stout ruined from nitro.

Aroma: Roasty and toasty Appearance: black with a nice creamy brown head Flavor: Fabulous roast and coffee flavors Palate: Surprisingly light on the tongue for a stout Overall: A surprising find... it is not common to find a dry irish stout with such a low alcohol percentage... an awesome session stout... classic old world style

On tap, at the brewpub. Damn, this was a disappointing end to a great session at Magnolia. Black with red hues. very thick big beige head. Slight roasted weak aroma. Thick nitro mouthfeel. Bland watery dry taste. Lingering bitterness, but sour roasted quality to it as well - it struck me as a Guinness clone. Just bland. A solid brewpub’s weaker offering.

Tap @ brewpub. A solid black color with a creamy brown head. Big roasted and coffee flavors.

Average, slighly rubbery flavor. Nitro stout that I could have done without.

Boring, dry Irish stout. Not much flavor. Served on nitrogen tap. Nice appearance.
