This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a big, white, foamy head. Nice lacing. To the nose there are scents of malt, dough and grass? First sip was smooth with flavours of floral hops with a med/high IBU. Finish is bitter with a light malt, heavy hop flavour lingering.

Cask at Volo IPA Challenge. Pours a cloudy orange with a small lasting bubbly white head. Sweet and grainy aroma, a bit sour as well and with some vegetal notes. Flavour’s somewhat sugary sweet along with paper, corn, grain and again, vegetal notes. Average bodied. Not very good.

[4393-20120421] Cask. Old wet cheddar cheese aroma has a hint of green bean vomit spread on a fresh sourdough bread. Hazy, orange brown body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Grainy corn mush flavour, not much to it. Medium body is quite flat. With such an aromatic lead up, I was expecting something horrible but it’s mostly just the aroma that’s awful. (2-/3/6/3/7) 2.1

2012-04-21. Lightly hazy pastel orange with a small frothy off-white head. Odd aroma of chick peas, pea soup and vegetation, earthy and weird, it is off-putting. Flavour is similar, pea soup and vegetation, light bitterness. Average to light bodied palate, very little carbonation. 2+ Did not care for this one at all. Blind Tasting on Cask at Volo IPA Challenge

A hazed amber IPA with a thick frothy white head. In aroma, strange boiled veggies, grassy malt, no hops. In mouth, a smooth grassy malt with with herbal hops, smooth bitterness, oily mouthfeel. Cask at Ontario Cask IPA Challenge, April 21, 2012.
