Cask - had this before with some awful vegetal off flavours, but seems to be better now. Pours amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, spinach and a little mint. Taste of malts, caramel, grass and mint with a light bitterness to finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Cask (handpump) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. Copper colour. Some dry, slightly smoky malt. Contrary to the commercial deScription, I found more malt than hop. A fairly down-to-earth and not particularly attention-grabbing Best Bitter.
