2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 40oz (181) - Newport Beach, California, USA - JAN 2, 2002Slightly bitter, slightly skunky, slightly sweet taste. As indicated by all the foregoing ’slightlys’, this is a farily bland beer. Nevertheless, it is a good representation of the international standard lager style without excessive skunkiness. Clean and refreshing; it is perfect with spicy Indian food.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Patrickctenchi (1835) - columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Clear gold with a busy, fizzy, white head that turns to soapy, thin bubbles instantly.
Corn/rice malt scent.
Taste is mild, sweet grain,
Actually, quite decent for style and origin.
Nothing overtly bad about it at all.

Poured from a chilled bottle into a frosty mug, at an Indian restaurant. Light yellow color with a medium white head. Smells somewhat sweet, taste like a average pilsner. But really compliments the spice from my chicken korma. Great beer with spicy Indian food
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 mnmike (700) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Pretty decent pale lager here. Had this with some spicy chicken curry and it has a nice finish.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Gooney (378) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 7, 2013
12 oz bottle from Uwajimaya - Dark yellow with no head to speak of. Aroma has a slightly European hint. Nothing spectacular here, but not bad for a pale lager. It would beat a lot of our microbrews.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 rumproasts (1154) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 12, 2013
bottle. Golden with small head. Very generic corn lager. Not very good at all.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 womencantsail (7100) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - FEB 25, 2013
Pale straw colored pour with a short lived white head. The nose is a bit sour and corny. But there is a touch of malt, though more of a grainy sweetness. A bit of straw and grass, too. The flavor is sweet and otherwise bland. Adjunct sweetness, grain, lemon, and some straw. Not terribly offensive, but not all that enjoyable.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ronaldtheriot (809) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Maharaja Premium Indian Pilsner has a medium, foamy head, a clear, yellow-golden appearance, some bubble steams, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, full, and pungent barley malt, biscuit, grass, and bread dough. Taste is of bready malt, charcoal, grass, sourness, a bit of green apple, and a faint hop bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Maharaja Premium India Pilsner finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and mild. Overall, this is a good beer, and it’s worth a try. RJT

Bottle at dinner, paid with lamb vindaloo made from the fiery depths of hell. Not really a pils, as it’s malt heavy with burnt caramel notes. Light fizzy body with minimal styrofoam and pine. Sadly my stomach still burns.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 That1Guy (1753) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Bottle pours the expected clear golden with a bubbly head. Aroma of corn, grass, hay, soap. Light. Goes down relatively smoothly. I’ll stick to Avery’s maha.
