Jun 4, 2005 Cloudy and medium amber-orange with nice lace. Prickly and tingly carbonation. Big citrusy hops (lemon, grapefruit, orange). Light malts, with notes of toast and a very subtle pinch of sweet caramel. Spruce tips and orange in the finish. As I was told by the bartender, this is an English IPA ... if so, the malts were a little lacking and the hops were too upfront and citrusy. But even as an Am. version, it was a little rough around the edges and unbalanced. Nevertheless, it was drinkable ... just as a beer.
