25cl bottle at Taberna La Fábrica, Madrid. Pours pale golden with a white head. Light malty aroma. Sweet and grainy with a light bitterness. Didn’t expect much of this, but it was better than expected. Not a great beer, but slightly better than the average industrial pale lager. Okay beer on a hot day. (2012-08-16)

Buff, entre la terrible competencia, ahora del mismo grupo Mahou-San Miguel, la 2ª tenía un sabor más a cereal y menos amargo que esta, por lo que preferiblemente, Mahou no!

A fair lager. Does the job in the Spanish heat. Felt this had a little more bitterness than your average budget macro pale lager but it was still balanced, so not at all unwelcome.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear golden coloured brew with an slightly sweet bitter taste and i think some hints of caramel. Quite decent Spanish lager/export-style beer.

Clear golden colour, head was white and frothy. Malts come to dominate the aroma, but there’s only a mild whiff. Slightly sweet malty flavour.

Golden with white head. Aroma as expected with straw, hay and slight citric notes. Flavour offers a little malty, toffee sweetness along with a reasonable amount of bitterness. Not worse than so many other mass produced lagers.

33cl bottle. Pours golden with steady bubbles and a nice head (well I used a tulip shaped glass, so it had a good chance). The nose has pale malt, lemon and green beans. The taste has cereal, sweetcorn and a touch of honey. The palate is close to medium in body with a tangy texture in the middle section and a tangy, slightly alcohol-fuelled finish. Overall, it’s not the worst, but no requirement to revisit.
