Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of cardboard and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of cardboard, straw, and alcohol.

Bottle at pub in Brussels. Golden orange body with big head. Floral nose. Taste of banana, oranges and malt. Refreshing and crisp.

Well, this is the Mahou, the most popular beer in Madrid. Sure is not the best in the world, but we have it for "cañas" and the way they serve it in many places can make it better than it is. Anyway, it-s a refreshing beer and in summer it´s great, eventhough we know is not the best beer you can have

Had at a restaurant in Palma, Mallorca. Pours a bright, slightly hazy orange gold with a small amount of fizzy white head. Aroma fruity banana and grass. Flavor some sweetness then a dry hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer and thought it was better than most southern european lagers.

Botte@Home. Grainy aroma. Pale yellow colour, white firm head, good lace. Sweet, malty, bitter, herbal hops, quite full for a Pale Lager. More powerful than other spanish stuff.

330 ml can. From Mallorca, Spain (F). Clear golden colour with small white head. Malt in aroma and something that reminds me of some medicine I had to take when I was a child (and it wasn’t beer). Grainy malts, some hoppy bitterness and hints of alcohol in flavour. Easy to drink but not much more.

Overall Impression: Had this one all over the place on a trip to Spain. Light, thirst quenching, boring pale lager.

Not sure where they get the 5 Stars...

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2009 0,66 l bottle as a gift. Poured clear golden with a medium white head. Moderated aroma of malt and grassy hop. Medium body with sweet malt, some sourish yeast and grassy hop. Nothing exciting. Thanks, Gbright!

Bottle. Pours almost like water in the colour, some small white head. Some light taste of grassy hops, sweet and easy forgotten

So I first had this out of a tiny bottle into a plastic cup on the flight to Madrid, so there are some pretty good memories associated with this beer, and then have had it a couple of times after. Pretty much exactly as I expected from a Spanish lager of this sort. Very light and weedy in the aroma, light citrus does come through alittle though, wouldn’t want to overtake take the smell of the in flight beef roast. Not bad, fluffy, and quite bubbly white foam head, the streaks well on the sides of the plastic cup. Light, but not too watery looking, crisp golden yellow in color. In the taste, a good amount of weedy grass, light lemon citrus, light copper and iron metallic notes, finish quite dry of lager bitter. Full flavored for a pale lager with a decent amount of bite on the tongue , but the flavors themselves arent anything to really write home about. Pretty basic, not all that great, but memorable for it being my first Spanish beer of the trip.
