330ml bottle from a grocery shop in Hubin Nanlu, Xiamen. Pours yellow golden with a dissipating white head. Not much going on with the aroma, a little malt and a hint of lemon.. Short bitter finish. Watery for 4.8%

The only reason to ever drink this particular beer is if you’re on such a tight budget that you can’t afford something better. Mahou is just a stereotypical industrial pale lager, pale yellow appearance, tastes of adjunct sweetness, some vague pilsner hoppiness, grainy finish. I will say that there’s nothing intrinsically offensive about it, no off tastes, just a weak and watery light pilsener. Hard to not find this throughout Spain, the Iberian equivalent to bud light.
