Tap at las terrazas, gran canaria. Clear golden color, some white head. Basic malty aroma and taste. Basic lager, little watery.

A pesar de que me gustan más las cervezas amargas, esta cerveza no llega a mi entender al nivel de su hermana 5 estrellas.

heavy (2075) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 26, 2012
05/12 On tap in some inn near Atletico Madrid stadium. Poured golden body with medium sized froth head. Grainy, corny and grass hop aroma. Flavor was sweet, corny with inferior hops. Medium bodied with long finish that showed some corn acidity. This is supposed to be their premium over cinco estrellas, well, both are pieces of crap.

Had that one a million times in Madrid on tap and in bottle. Interesting one as it still is a pissy lager but gives me a tender sweetness with the amount of carbo which I like. Therefore I enjoyed it every time accompanied by a little snack. Definitely not rocket science but not crap beer at all.

On tap & bottle at many places, over the years. Mainstream lager. At least the advice you in the label: "corn" as ingredient. Nothing more to say about this one.

Out of the two Mahou beers I’ve tried I prefer this. It’s less heavy and sickly than the Cinco Estrellas. It is still very corny, but as it warms up in the sun it still stays quaffable.

La cerveza Mahou de barril es toda institución en Madrid, donde la sirven con una cremosa espuma sin gas. Eso no significa que sea una buena cerveza. Es quizás un refresco.

kwik-lime (1157) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2012
Very pale in colour but at least keeps its head nicely. This is fine for what it is, quite crisp and clean with some hop character, making a perfectly drinkable pale lager.

Bottle 1ltr: Golden coloured brew with an little bit sweet bitter taste and its somekind of fruity.

maekchu (1756) - Hirakata, JAPAN - SEP 20, 2012
25 cl. bottle. Grass, floral aroma with a bit of biscuit. Crystal clear pale straw. Mild grassiness with a bit of balancing hop. Thin-medium body. Okay. Not as much flavor as the Cinco Estrellas
