3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I recently tried this both on tap and in the bottle during my stop in Madrid on a recent Euro trip. I found the draft version more enjoyable as I am reviewing that version.
This was presented in a goblet, light yellow in color with lots and lots of fluffy white head. Makes a really nice lacing down the glass as I consume. I honestly don’t recall a macro lager that presents itself so nicely... I am really impressed with the appearance. Aroma is very typical and average of the lager, a shy hint of spice and light caramel. Flavor reminds me of a heineken, has very little bittering and somewhat smooth but nothing exciting here. The mouthfeel was quite nice though, carbonation was near perfect, very creamy and smooth texture on the palate with a slightly dry finish. I think this is a great example of how a lager should be carbonated. Of the pretty drab selection of beers brewed in Spain, this was my first choice on my trip.. not too bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Earthy and sweet malt with earthy and floral hop.
Palate: Leans toward sweetness yet with some balance.
Flavor: Like the nose. Decent lingering sweet and bitter flavors.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had that one a million times in Madrid on tap and in bottle. Interesting one as it still is a pissy lager but gives me a tender sweetness with the amount of carbo which I like. Therefore I enjoyed it every time accompanied by a little snack. Definitely not rocket science but not crap beer at all.

Not a bad beer ... I drank it when I was in Madrid ... I bought it at a grocery store. It was tasty, and was a "eating" beer ... something you would have with a good meal, to compliment, but definitely not to drink on its own - to try and find exceptional qualities. Overall, rather decent compared to what we have in Canada or the U.S (even more so).

Literfles uit de supermarkt. Pilskleur , goede kraag. Zoetbittere geur en smaak. Vrij zoet voor een pils, weinig bitter. Niet slecht als het 32 graden is.

Golden, light haze maybe and thin head. Light hoppy, unfortunately also some metal. Refreshing, light bitter. Good tasteful pilsner. (On tap at Valencian ponchos bar)

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very classic lager...nothing speciel there, really. Still when your in Spain, you can't stop yourself from having one of their classic lager while eating yout tapas. The beer is well adapted to the country. Just thinking of Mahou makes me dream of Espana again, so that why my overall impression of that beer is so high.

Canned(500ml). -better than Mahou Cinco Estrellas, pale golden coloured with minimal head, grainy and malty, a little bit too carbonated but overall good and refreshing
