2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 33cl. Dark brown/red colour, small but persistant beige head. The aroma and flavour are mostly of coffee and roasted malts. Surprisingly it’s a light beer, very easy to drink and without any complexity. Unfortunatelly, another spanish beer that doesn’t convince me. Maybe the next one.....

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Brownish red colour with a poor beige head. The aroma and flavour are mostly dominated by roasted malts and caramel but unfortunately the finish had an unpleasant butterish touch.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Little smoky. Little roasty. Little too fizzy. Overall, a very promising dunkel from Spain that was brought back to me from Barcelona. Moderately malty and flavorful, with the most prominent flavor being the roast/smoke. Enjoyable.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Has a smoky promising smell, but below the thin head it hasn’t really much to offer. Remarkably empty of flavors, no lingering bitterness. Esy drunk, easy forgotten.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark amber brown, very clear with minimal head. Rich molasses nose with a rich roasted quality. Light weight body with light sweetness and a lingering finish though overall a bit thin. Molasses, black strap molasses and more molasses, framed by a delicate roasted malt flavor. Pretty one dimensional, but tasty none the less.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brown color. Caramel and molasses aroma. Taste of caramel, quite sweet, liquorice. Strong ending bitterness. Not harmonious.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2006 This is awesome, I never thought Spanish could brew this kind of beers, although is not like other Stout beers I have tried, but I really liked. The top was not that large but it was interesting.

Dark color, brown. Decided fizzy. Enough compact moderate foam. Tending to a determined bitter.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Nice coffee malt aroma with slight esters. Dark brown color with good head. Sweet creamy chocolate malt flavor but not too sweet - well balanced. One of the best Spanish beers I found - actually tasted like a beer.

in madrid outside bull arena. maybe a bit more malt tone then the classic but quite bland and unappealing. go get yourself some chocolate or horchata for god sakes.
