3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from SuperDino supermarket Puerto de Mogan Gran Canaria. Pours dark brown with a quickly fading off-white head. Aroma of dark malts, caramelised sugar and a modicum of coffee. I’m drinking this ice cold which isn’t really correct for the style, but it’s hot here. This is actually not too bad. Light and refreshing with moderate dark roasted malts plus coffee and chocolate mixed in. The bitterness on the end balances out the initial sweetness. Better than I thought it’d be.

Sample at Malmö beer and whiskey festival. Bland and honestly quite boring, i just don’t get the point with these kinds of beers.

Really nice black beer. Bit smokey and few hints of chocolate. And not that strong, only 5,5%.

330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a hint of red. Big compact crown. Malty, with some roasted notes. Earth, nuts, some herbs, brown sugar. A bit too sweet imo.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours out with a dark brown, almost black color and an average tan head with medium retention.
The moderate roasted aroma is complemented by some coffee and caramel.
The taste is expected - slightly sweet at first, followed by roastiness and bittery taste in the end. There’s also a slight taste of coffee present.
Smooth and drinkable beer. Nice one.
