Smells like caramel and candy. Pretty dry roasted taste slightly bitter and fresh. Maybe a bit to sweet and watery.

Bottle 330ml. Pours very dark brown, with a tall foamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, slightly sour (in a good sense), slightly fruity, classical for a dark lager. Mouth feel is watery, lightly carbonated with a very light body. Flavors are weak. Tastes slightly malty with light sweetness at first, then becomes nicely bitter with clean grassy hops flavor. Slight roasted notes. Flavors are very clean, with no off flavors, but also no depth. Ends slightly bitter and hoppy. Quite boring, and too flat. The very light body is disappointing at first, but combined with the gentle flavor profile, and mellow bitterness makes a very refreshing and light beer, that although lacks in depth, is a nice summer drink.

Botella 33cl. Cerveza negra poco espesa y casi sin espuma que se va en seguida dando la sensación a la vista mas de refresco que de cerveza. Sabor un poco áspero. Típica cerveza negra comercial que se queda a medias. Quiero y no puedo.

Alengrin (4604) - BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2014
Spanish interpretation of Münchener Dunkel with very stable, yellowish, beige, regular head and clear, very dark burgundy colour. Malt sweetness in the nose, a bit stout-like too, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, dried leaves, iron. Rounded, smooth, bit oily palate, sufficient body, sweet malts (nuts, caramel, chocolate), bit metallic, finish somewhat thin but with roasted bitterness and spicy hops. Actually quite good, though closer to a Schwarzbier than to a real Dunkel.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a lager glass. ABV 5.5% Brown colour on the body, with two fingers of creamy beige head on top, thick, with very good retention, leaving medium lacing behind. On the aroma lightly roasted malts, chocolate, iron, caramel. Taste has more caramel and less than the roasted malts, even more faint chocolate, some grass. Medium body, okay carbonation. Overall nothing special.
