330 ml. bottle. Dark colour, a little head that doesn’t hold for too long. Arome of sweet malts, licorice, chocolate, sweet mal coffee. The body could be much stronger, though it has a kind of inky flavor. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, some dark fruits. Good one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Wombata (184) - Kobe, JAPAN - DEC 31, 2011
Aroma: Some Ovaltine malt drink at first, hazel nut, sweet, malty bread, a little burnt molasses.
Palate: Sweet but not cloying.
Flavor: Nutty, sweet, malty bread, molasses, yeast. Finishes a bit drier than it starts with bitter cocoa, molasses and slightly burnt coffee.
Comment: Better than I expected. For me it’s best drunk cold so as to keep the sweetness in check. I liked the evolution of sweet attack to a less sweet finish.
