Maria (3816), Thisted, Denmark May 8, 2008 Mahrs in Bamberg, bottle. Golden with a nice head. The aroma is pretty weak with light notes of malt and hops. The flavour is refreshing with light notes of malt, caramel and hops, that gives a refreshing bitterness - all in all very uncomplicated and quenching.
porterhouse (892), Alna, Maine, USA Jul 11, 2008 (500 ml bottle from Tully’s) Pours pale yellow with a slight haze. Two fingers of Marshmallow-Fluff-like white head. Aroma of fairly pungent honey, light bread and light pine. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, although thin. Dryish esp. towards finish. Some broken rings of lacing. Flavor is fairly sweet and malty, mostly honeyish. Very light bready taste. A bit of pine towards finish which closes it out. Actually could feel a bit of the alcohol in this one, as I’d think the 2.8% is higher than most LA’s. Overall decent but a bit watery and timid. grikmok (60), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA Jul 10, 2008 Poured into a pilsner flute with a bubbly head. The aromas of sweet honey and yeast. The initial taste was sweet followed by a malty taste towards the end of the pull. Quite memorable. pivnizub (3638), Porúří, Germany May 22, 2008 Bottle: Clear, small foamy layer, pale golden; light grainy-malty and a bit papery nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, not watery; dryish bitter pale-malty finish with a hoppy "tail". Really not the worst "Low Alcohol"..... MaltDawg (224), Richmond, Virginia, USA Apr 29, 2008 Poured a cloudy very light straw with a large rocky head that did not persist. Grainy aroma with a bit of nobel hops and no skunkiness. Grainy malt flavor with some grassey/spicey hop notes. Finish is light and dry. First bottle had alot of floaties. Second bottle was better. Not a beer that travels well or should sit on the shelf long. I suspect this beer could be quite tasty fresh.
