TheBeerOrg (1371), Kentucky, USA Apr 7, 2008 Pours hazy bright golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of cookie, bready malt, light citrus, herbal hops. Taste is tart lager yeast, bready malt, bitter noble hops. Medium bodied, crisp mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Enjoyable unfiltered lager.
imdownthepub (3965), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 12, 2008 On tap at Mahrs Brewpub, Bamberg. Clouded orange amber with white head. Heavy wheatabix type malt beer, quite dry and fairly bitter. Some caramel, yeast. Not too bad. yespr (5628), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with Maria. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a dense, creamy and slight off-white head. Aroma is mild spiced and malty. Light breadish malt flavour with a lurking bitterness and mild spice note. Holds a nice caramel flavour in addition. Ends mild caramel malt spiced and light bitter. Smooth balance. FishManLA (152), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA May 31, 2008 Clear amber colored with a small head and very little lacing. Sweet, yeasty aroma with some slight bread and floral notes. Sweet clean malt taste with very slightly bitter undertones. Short, clean bitter finish. DuffMan (1890), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 16, 2008 Cloudy, dirty yellow, dense white head. Skunky euro-hop aroma and lots of biscuity and bready malt. Very generously malty palate, smooth and creamy, herbal/floral stemmy hop finish. Really interesting and very appealing to me. I wish I had bought more. BeerFanDan17 (331), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA May 7, 2008 (cleaning out my beer bottle collection as pictured in my profile and utilizing ratebeer.com)
As I recall, this was a very unique brew.
