3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with an OK head. Slightly sweet aroma with a bit of grass. Grainy biscuity flavor of malt with just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet.

Sweat, maybe ginger, but a bit papery, aroma. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is scarily starchy. Weak and just starchy. Bad rough strong lager.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drank this as Brummelbock, I guess this is it. Clear golden color, average sized white head with low retention. Aroma of bread, hay, some hops. Taste of bread, hay, green apples, some fruitiness. Dominantly malty as the style dictates, but you can taste some hops also. Medium body, average carbonation. Good and surprisingly lasty aftertaste. Not my style, but its OK. Definitely drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Getränke-Oase. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is sweet grains and citrusy and herbal hops. Hints of caramel, but really just hints (who could expect more considering the color?), and a bit of starch. Taste is sweet grains with a bit of herbal hops. Rather high carbonation, but not in a bad way. The ingredients are all there, you can taste some nice hops, but it just doesn’t work out properly. Tastes like a slightly stronger German Pils. A prime example of how easy it is to make a boring Heller Bock, even when you are a really good brewery. Not to be too mean, though - it still is perfectly drinkable, just nothing too memorable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very good bock from Germany. The hops are perfectly integrated in this brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear golden color. Very malty aroma with some nutty notes. Quite sweet beginning, but finishes dry and bitter. Lots of caramel flavor. Seems like the the sweetness and hops were in opposition, not harmony. Not bad though.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
16oz bottle. Hazy light yellow-tan body. Foamy, frothy white head. Deep fruity lager notes, some oxidation, age. I had hoped this was freshish, but I’m guessing this is quite old. Deep fruity lager notes, bready. Earthy noble hop balance. Probably really nice fresh, but a little lackluster in this condition. Bottles should have born on dates.

Golden with white head. Nutty, floral, vanilla and toffee. Sweet, round, hoppy and dry finish. Overall: Looks different than it tastes. Well done.

05.02.2015, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small creamy shortlasting head, light straw colored. Aroma is grainy, wet hay, wet grain, grass, yeast, sugar, nuts, paper. Taste is harsh mineraly, weeds, metal tank, sugar, grain, almond essence, paper, flowers. Medium bitterness, harsh metallic mouthfeel. Crap!
