COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Dark brown colored with big yellow head. Chocolaty, little bit of roasted aroma with yeast, thin banana and nice spices. Medium bodied. Flavor is also roasted with licorice, yeast and some fruits, aftertaste dries with yeast, only tiny bit of alcohol here. Good one.

Quite nice stuff. Banana and clove plus the rich maltiness of a doppelbock. Dark brown with low carbonation. The missus thought she detected some wild like yeast flavors. Serving: Bottle

Bottle from brewery. Dark brown color with huge beige head. Fruity aroma with malt and caramel. Taste, sweet malty, with banana, caramel. Light spicy coffee finish. Little bit lite for the style but still nice.

Beer No. 108 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Bottled 500ml. -at Mahrs Bräu, Bamberg. Brown coloured, huge pale beige head, dark fruits and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, dark fruits and caramel with a bit too strong alcohol presence. Hint of spices in rather alcoholic finish. Not bad at all.

500 ml. Clear, deep chestnut with a spongy inch of foam above. Chocolate, caramel, toasted chestnut, and peppery citrus zest on the nose. Same great tastes, with a bit of green herb, and hickory smoke. Medium-heavy body is well balanced, slick and smoothly carbonated. Nice touch of beech smoke to this one.

Bottle. Aroma was spicy, fruity. Taste, more fruity then spicy with just a touch of nutty flavor with a good balance. Nice big head that disappeared rather quickly. Nice dark brown color.

0.5 l bottle at Tuulensuu, Tampere. Dark chestnut brown color. Sweet with nuts, raisins, pepper, clove, orange and citrus. Hint of coffee and chocolate. Full bodied and highly carbonated. Quite sweet but nicely balanced with spiciness and warming alcohol. A great weizen bock.
