Weisse Bock is an increasingly popular style that is strong and very tasty – with all of the fruity, spicy flavors one expects from a wheat beer, and more – but never too heavy on the palate. This rich, dark, and enthralling Bock is refreshing and drinks so easily that one would never suspect that it weighs in at 7.2% a.b.v. If you appreciate Aventinus, try Der Weisse Bock.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is just weird, body lotion, butterscotch, dark sugar, weeds, grass, wet grain, caramel, alcohol. Taste is slightly sour-ish grassy, weeds, butterscotch, sour grass, almond essence, body lotion, alcohol, wet grain, minerals, raisins, dark sugar. Medium bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear amber brown color with large soapy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, clove, caramel, banana with mild cheesy note. Taste starts sweet caramel and sour grainy, follows by caramel and grass, mouthfeel is spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Quite dull, lacks some taste, huge disappointment for me...

half liter - nose is caramel and toast with some dark fruits. Sweet. Serious and sophisticated. Should go well with tonight’s new episode of GoT.

Dark reddish brown colour. Aroma and flavours of plums, bananas, malts, caramel. Malty aftertaste with low carbonation and bitterness. Very good, but still not at the same rang as the best samples of this style.

Bottle at the brewery. Deep, dark, cloudy brown with a tall, tan pillowy head. Spicy nose, cloves, nutmeg, banana, chocolate. Sweet chocolate and banana and spice flavor. Estery fruits, prickly hops. Wonderfully prickly light carbonations. Great stuff, though it does get a bit cloying.

Pours a dark coppery near brown color, topped with an average off-white head. Mild malty aroma, some sweet wheaty notes, and some candy aroma too - weird. Sweet taste, some hints of wheat presence, moderate bitterness. Nothing really stands out, still drinkable and mild..
