Let"s read the notes here... I got an apple cider aroma. Dark, rich brown colour. Thick, lacy, creamy head. To taste, alcohol, light yeast, empty (one dimensional) wheat malt, a little smokey. Like Aventinus but much less complex.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours w/ a massive, almost unstoppable tan head. The beer itself is a hazy dark brown colour. Aroma is yeasty (banana)& spicy w/ notes of cloves & bubblegum. Light, effervescent feel. Flavour is also fruity (banana, slight apple tartness) w/ nice malt (chocolate) background & moderately bitter finsih.

This is a good interpretation of the Weizen Bock style. Good ester character, rich sweet body. Close to Aventinus.

Dark brown, long lasting head. Very fruity aroma, bananas. Found this had a really sweet flavour. Not quite as wheaty as Aventinus and not as good.

Very fruity in taste and foamy. It makes the tongue tingle. Very creamy. It was enjoyable.

Pours into a nice ruby-brown colour with a huge, creamy head. Malty aroma with hints of dark grape and banana. Sweet malt on the tongue, with a lingering hint of lemony tartness, and a big creamy finish. As many have said, it doesn’t quite measure up to Aventinus, but it’s still a fine beer.

Nice color, nice taste, but not my favorite among the Mahr’s beers.

Perfect richness--can be drunk like a dunkel weizen, but offers a big alcohol kick. My sample was over a year old, but was still bursting with wonderful weizenbock flavor. Top notch, and second only to Aventinus.

OH, what an initial intensivity was putted into this beer! Dry banana mixed with black pepper with touch of green leaf. I also found some wild rose pellets which contrasted nicely with the brutality of other aromatic flavours. Creamy and smooth, very pleasant to drink. Nicely warming with nice bite at the end. Top class!
