Pours a clear hazelnut brown color, with a decent, fluffy white head, which holds up for ages. Offers a distinct, rich, whole grain bread foundation, with a potato peel sweet hint to it. A whiff of copper and wood bark, together with heated hazelnut add a nice depth to the robust malt profile of the beer. Has a lively carbonation, while the beer remains pleasantly drinkable throughout, with a malty refreshment to it. Drinks utmost smooth, with a coppery malt finish, while not giving up on its softness. Begins with whole grain bread, which later on gets a toasty note to it, wrapped up by a soft minerality and dry earth. While maintaining its profound bread profile, malts add a toffee hint, gently balanced by wood bark and earth. Finishes with dextrose amped up malts and a coppery quality, while earth holds the overall sweetness pleasantly low. I appreciate the beers focussed malt character quite a bit, maintaining its rustic earth and bread character till the end, while allowing subtle changes on the palate at the same time, adding necessary depth. This results in an easy drinking Lager with enough body to it to convince my palate.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Biscuity, malty and fruity aroma with notes of raisins, sultanas and grain. Malty, grainy and slightly sweet taste with raisins, sultanas and porridge detected. Easy to drink but a bit too sweet for me.

Look; light beige head and dark copper red body, clear, - small dots as lacing. Aroma; dark bread, dark malts, dark fruits, dark caramel. Taste; dark malts, malted candies, prunes, dark caramel - leading to a soft dark-malty finish. Normal texture and soft carbonation. Easy dark, absolutely recommended for those who have never tried a dark beer. This will certainly not scare anyone. [50cl brown bottle 5%abv BB20-11-2015 @Bierothek Bamberg T@Ferie2015]

Pours a dark brown color, topped with rather small but fine tan colored head. Nice combination of roasted malt, caramel and biscuits in the aroma. Taste starts sweet, caramel and chocolate presence, roasty body with mild bitterness. Easily drinkable and enjoyable.

On tap at the brewery. Malty and bready smell that made me think of wort. Malty taste with caramel. Nice malty beer.
