An OK dunkel with nice nutty aroma, but slightly thin mouthfeel. Not much head.
Bottle bought from brewery in July, forgotten in my closet until now, BB 26 11 10.

Dark nut brown clear body and a off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, caramel, rye bread. Light bitter finish.

A stron roasted malt aroma. Looks excellent. Flavor is rich roasted malt up front but with a thinnish middle. Finsih gains strength and has a coating character.pretty good. A lot of coffee notes in the finish as well.

another one brought back from germania by nbutler with a date of 4/6/10 stamped on it. tasted 4/18/2010.
auburn brownish copper colored pour with a small off white head.
it smells and tastes spicy. cinnamon to be exact.... along with cereal, brown sugar, nuttiness and yeast notes.
it is not bad. just a bit thin in body and complexity. 6/3/6/3/13/3.1

Draught @ Mahrs Keller, Bamberg. Pours unclear amber with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is bready malty. A bit of toffee and metal. Very smooth. Quite good.

Bottle hauled back from Berlin. Pours a clear amber color with a thin off-white rind of foam. Smells and tastes of red apple skins, hops, cereal, yeast, and watered down coffee. Fair.

Draught at the brewery: Dark brown color, off-wghite head. Aroma is very malty and sweet, bready. Flavor is very malty, light to medium sweet, some roastiness and quite intensive caramel notes. All in all too sweet.

Small, very light-greige head over foxy to ruby-brown beer. Very rich malty nose, with some bread, sweet. Sweet, bready, nutty flavour with coloured malts galore. Bit empty finish. Slick, medium carbonated, light to medium bodied. Quite good, flavourful Dunkles. Pity about the finish. Many thanks to fonefan!

Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt. Flavour is dry, sweet, caramel, roasted, malt, hop, dried fruits. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A dark golden beer with an off-white head. Buttery, toffee-ish nose with malts, some roast and dried fruits. Sweet, a bit buttery flavor with caramel and a little bitterness trying to balance it. Medium body, quite dry. Short finish with some roasted malts. Boring, but certainly drinkable. 091024
