Draught at the brewery. Bright, clear, slightly pale yellow with a low head. Light, malty aroma with bready malt and just a touch of grassy hops. Big, sweet malty flavor. Hops seriously lacking, though there is a grassy, citrus tinge in there. Not so well balanced. Smooth, with low carbonations and a clean body. Good enough, but their best.

500ml on tap at Haus Staudt (see, I drink more than 2oz sometimes). Brilliant clear golden-yellow in color with a 1.5 finger white head. Really nice aroma - very smooth and clean malt with subtle hop notes and very strong honey. The flavor is sweet pale malt and honey with an optimal level of floral and earthy hops. Clean and crisp with medium body for the style. Drinkable as "hell" (Get it? Zing!). Great for a helles lager - really a good classic example.

Nice drinkable beer. Malt, biscuits, and floral hops well balanced. Clean and refreshing.

Cycled into town (Bamberg) from our campsite just outside at Bug 17-06-10 had this on tap at the brewery tap. Light gold in colour & with good clarity. Slim white head, soft in mouth, light metallic touches clean & crisp tasting beer, some dryness hops show, not too bitter but very pleasant. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Lightly hazy yellow with a thick white head that clings to the glass. Lightly sweet biscuit aroma. Lovely palate. Prickly, just bitter enough, biscuity aftertaste. Helluva good beer. Guess its not imperial enough for most...

50cl bottle - very lively, clear gold pour - lasting, rocky head - nose of grassy noble hops and a light honey character - very light and balanced - things start out with a surprising level of sweetness, but this quickly dissipates, as a dry, crisp, floral hop character arrives - nothing terribly complex, but it isn’t supposed to be - refreshing, light, and enjoyable.

Golden color, small white head. Grains, honey, wet paper or wood in the nose. Front is sweetish malty, then a bit grainy and woody hoppy with light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Solid malty background. Decent example of this style.

From cask at In de Wildeman. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of grassy hops and grainy malts. Flavour is malty, some sweet, bread, bit of grain, bitter bit grainiy finish. Light to medium bodied.
