I don’t know what you guys are talking about, this beer is fantastic. a wee bit bitter, Tunes of Glory, some citrus hints. This could be my everyday beer, ’cept for it’s brewed in Germany and I am stuck here in Arizona.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hopistotle420 (1178) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 27, 2004
YO! This stuff is friggin sweet. It tastes great, like real BEER! But you can drink like 50 and still drive across the Bay State like a pro! Pale golden, with a fizzy white cap. Grainy, Mahrs lager yeast nose. Flavor wise, this beer is great. Such a lil one, but packing some flavor nonetheless. Pleasantly hopped, light yeastiness, great drinkability. If you are a Mahrs fan, which you should be, then you gotsta get some Leicht!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ukoolaid (572) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 26, 2004
On tap. I agree with Hopistotle, this beer is sweet with some character behind it. When I'm drinking a light beer it's pretty much always to get drunk, but this light beer is much different because I would drink it because it tastes pretty decent....and it doesn't get you drunk at all. Wierd.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 luckygirl (1221) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Bottled. Beer is lightly hazy, light yellow with an average-sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting head. Aroma is soft and pretty: Malty with a light note of toasted grain; Hoppy with light floral/honeysuckle, green grass and straw notes; Yeasty with a trace of dough. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly-to-moderately bitter with a long, moderately acidic, moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is a bit more lively than lively. Right to style and refreshing.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thornecb (2961) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 24, 2008
Pours bright gold into a stein. Bright white head with excellent retention leaves no lacing as it recedes to coat surface. Malt aromas. Crisp and slightly bitter from front to finish. Clean and dry. Sour aftertaste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ernest (5116) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers/honey).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
One of the best sub-3.0% ABV beers I’ve had, actually. Even full-alc Helles are rarely this good. The funny part is I’m not a very big fan of Mahr’s, for the most part...the Jubelfest is cool, but I haven’t had anything else that’s impressed. But this does. I expected crap but got a snoot full of Hallertauer and toasty malt. Very good stuff, and unfortunately doomed to be underrated.
