3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours orange tinged gold with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is fairly bready with some noble hop notes. More spicy than grassy. Med body. Flavor matches the aroma. A much better than average premium lager.

Love Mahrs. Visited twice. Never seen this beer. Darn good if you ask me. As solid an unfiltered lager as I have tasted. Why don’t American brewers make stuff like this?

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gotta love the picture on the label. The bottle I got fizzed from hell to breakfast, so be prepared! It pours a rich and slightly hazy amber with a rather thick, if not too persistent, pale amber-tan head. Crisp aroma is fruity and malty with just a hint of hoppy wood. Flavor is typical of a lager, malty and a little fruity, but more mouth-filling and rounded out; again there is just a hint of hops. Texture has firm body and good fizz, better than with many lagers I have tried. If lager is your style, uncork this beast!

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, white head, well retained, over a slightly hazy, dark gold (SRM 6) body......nose is light malts, toast, light floral hop....taste is light malts, with a medium finishing hop bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds a foamy mouthful. This meets the relatively simple style quite well. It is more hop forward than a typical Helles and is not unpleasant to drink. BJCP 6/3/11/4/6

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy orange with good, creamy, off-white head / Sweet, musty nose of grain, cream and honey / Medium body, somewhat fat with low carbonation, modestly sweet and relatively hoppy, with low hoppping / Dull, skunky flavors of grain, resin, and cooked citrus / Blah..

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy yellow, with a nice white head. Aroma is a little nutty and yeasty. Flavor is nice and slightly floral. Not bad, especially for a branded beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Dirty amber, hazy, thin to moderate white sudsy head, sparce lacing.   Bready nose, slightly spicy.   Seems somewhat plain.   Sweet bready start, a touch mealy, not much more than that.   Seems like a heavier example, body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Malty mealy finish, very faint pale fruit aspects.   Good, clean, but seems a touch more than ho-hum.   Lingering light spiciness.   Decent.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Not a huge fan of the band, they are decent lots of fanboys and haters just with something like DTP would have taken thier place in the grand scheme of things, but love Mahr’s. The label is cool. 500ml bottle.
It pours a nice hazy amberish orange with a nice off-white head.
The smell is nicely malty. Rich caramel and bread notes, a subtle bit of noble hops. There is an almost rum-like aroma which is nice.
The flavor is malty and fruity. Decently fresh. A zippy kellerbier. Very fuckin nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A beautifully lasting white sheet stays above the cloudy pale amber. Pretty good looking. Yeast and malt forward nose where soft sulphur, sand, pencil shavings and surprisingly fruity (pear and the likes) aromas all blend into a cohesive ensemble. The malt profile is fresh, heavy on the strawy cereals all the while remaining not too sweet. Spicy, earthy, leafy hops are perhaps a bit tired, but remain a nice fit to the nourishing malt character and abundant yeastiness that also adds a spicy kick. Soft carbonation which moves into a creamy foam as the beer breathes.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
200 bottle edition. I call BS...Gordon’s has about ten in stock and this is the twentieth rating. I do like sludgy metal, although not this band, and I also like sludgy beers. Grain and dirt filled aroma. Bright orange with dissipated head. Medium bitterness and light sweetness, kind of stale. What you’d expect from an easy drinking keller. Overpriced and brought to you be the Sheltons.
