Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pale golden with a huge eruptive snow white head. Very dry aroma of bread and grassy hops. Fresh and really dry grassy flavour with a solid bready maltiness. Crisp, spicy and dry finish of wet grass and hops. Quality german pils.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Feb 17) Golden yellow colour with big frothy head. Nose is malty, bready with hints of grass and butter. Taste is malty, bready with a long, very dry and bitter finish. A school book example of a classic german pils.

500ml bottle. pale, golden colored beer w/ good fizz and a nice frothy white head. Sweet malt aroma along w/ some perfumey hop highlights...similiar to the bock aroma, and quite potent...aroma seems to have a spicy compent that reminds me of curry a bit? Fairly dry and bitter finish, which is good...yeast certainly has an impact...big bodied for a pils. Malt is bready and hops are spicy. A very classy pils. Excellant.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of frothy fine to large sized long lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was transparent with yeast swirls and light yellow brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malt hop yeast . Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly smooth thick with a lingering slightly tingly palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained nice malty with mild hops and doughy notes and was greta for a pilsener but uncharacteristically good. All-in-all very nice brew.

In the 0.5L bottle at the Huber Haus. Thanks to my good buddy bditty187 for buying me a bottle of this. Pours a delicious-looking light yellow with a miraculous pillowy white head. The dominant aroma is a sweet honey smell. The flavor is not sweet at all and might be slightly tart. The body is of significant substance with outstanding flavor. This might be the best pilsner I’ve ever had.

A light yellow body under a large white head gives this a classic Pilsener look. Lightly flowery hop aroma with a sweet malt background. Nicely hopped with sweet malt in the flavor. Not bad.

Rancid butter aroma. Hoppy, buttery flavor. Werthers Original sweets hidden in a manure heap. I can’t believe this is a pilsener, but the label on the bottle (bought at a Getränkehalle near Memmelsdorf) says so. Somehow I like this beer. But it is really one of a kind. Later samples proved more pilsener like. A Franconian version, that is: well hopped, hay-like, malty and flowery. Not a sign of Werthers Original and manure. The first bottle tasted must have been an accident, but I have to say consistency is important for a pilsener.
