pivnizub (4949), Bochum, Porúří, Germany Aug 28, 2005 Bottle (Vroni’s Bamberg): Hazy, straw golden coloured, thin lasting fluffy head; grainy nose with some hints of floral hoppiness; bitter-malty taste, very soft bitter flavour; distinctive floral hoppy, a bit scratchy; finish; quite good balance between dry hoppiness and a sweetish malty body, a bit similar to a Bohemian Pilsener..... dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 23, 2005 Pale pale pale malty slightly hoppy brew that reminds me a bit of big rock, but with some structure. This is not the best mahrs but it’s quenchable. DougShoemaker (2855), Toronto, Canada Jul 3, 2005 Malty, hoppy nose, light golden, with some floaties? Flavour is a good malt start, a hint of wheat? Light bodied, well balanced, very good. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 26, 2005 bottle. pale golden with a small creamy head. corn, grass, mild hops, and cookies. body is fairly light with medium carbonation. sweet malt body with just a touch of hops and some toast flavours. I nice thirst quencher on a hot summer evening. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 25, 2005 floral scent, but grassy and dry and almost watery
and not all that smooth nor refreshing, even with food. Light sweetness ,contained in a bulk of soapiness. Metallic drying bitter aftertaste. I’ve had better homebrewed pils. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 19, 2005 Poured with a different look for a German pils ... hazy orange-yellow, with a less airy head. This has a more lemony aroma and smoother texture than most pilsners, almost with a lemon-soap tinge. Not the crisp starchy beer you may expect. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 22, 2005 Cloudy yellow, big white head. The aroma is, well, beery. I don’t know how else to say it. It just smells like beer, y’know? Beer. That’s what it smells like. Surprisingly full bodied and heavy, with a hint of mellow sweetness (Doesn’t that sound like some 70’s AM radio lite rock band? "Next up, with ’Baby, I think You’re Pretty’, is Mellow Sweetness"). Anyway, finishes with surpringly unrefined hop bite. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA May 3, 2005 Pale golden yellow color with a small head. Aroma is bready with a touch of hops. Flavor is fundamental but refreshing, with a rugged hops bite and a malt finish. Seems to be some lemony citrus elements in there. Rather simple beer but perhaps a good example of the pale pilsner style.
