Pale yellow color, with slight haze, adorned with a fine, thick, bone-white head. Nose is soft & sweet, malty, light as a cloud, with distant floral, honey notes. Clean entry on the tongue, sweet, pleasing and mild. Light body, delicate texture, thoroughly malty, and very, very smooth Nearly no hops at all, but this is a German pils, and if you want something nice’n’easy, you can’t miss here.

Bottle. Flowery malt aroma. Yellow-tan color with quicly collapsing head. Nice flowery malt flavor as well with moderate hops finish. I like the flowery notes in this beer - makes it very unique among German Pilseners - a very nice beer.

0.5l bottle. How to rate this? Why is this rated so low? as a homebrewer, this is close to what I would like a pils to be. And if you are looking for a pils, I would recommend this one. But nonetheless....Pours clear pale yellow with floaties, and a rich, rocky white lasting head. Aroma has hops, a touch of sulfur, and a malty note. Flaor is rich and malty, with a rather gentle hoppiness. A llittle less hops than I would prefer, but still tasty as far as a pils goes. Very drinkable, and I could make an afternoon drinking session with this.

Bottle from Whole Foods, Chicago, date stamped May, 2004. A pretty likeable after sampling their unfiltered lager two days before. Pour the familiar frothy lager-head (nyuk!). Color is pale straw, of course. The malt gives up very little character, per style. Hops are more sharp and spicy, and only at the end do they show a hint of Pilsener character. A bit gassy, too. Not much more than a well presented example of a bland style.

Cask, at Mahrs Keller. Gold, good white head and fine condition. Pleasantly hoppy at the start with some sweet honeyed malt aromas developing. Solid malt and good level of hop in the mouth. Sweet malt and chalky hoppiness lingering in the finish.

Bottle. A little sweeter and thinner than i had expected. Slightly metallic, lactic, with some lemon in the finish. Just felt too thin. Slightly bitter too finish, but i couldn’t really get into it.

Straw body, nice white head, German hop nose with malty notes. Metallic flavor, pretty bad.

Pale hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma was of yeast and wheat, floral and citrus. Light bodied. Almost thin. Flavor was yeast and wheat and lemon and watery. Probably a decent Lawnmower beer but nothing I’d look to have again.
