Bottle @ home. Clear yellow appearance with a big, fluffy white head, good lacing, and pretty good head retention. Somewhat fruity, mineralic, sweet pils malty, straw, grassy aroma. Pretty sweet pale/pils malty, moderate hay/straw, grassy hoppy flavor. Good carbonation. Super easy drinking.

Wasn’t able to try this during my trip to Bamberg but I did find a bottle. Bottled on 27/5. If that is this yea that isn’t bad, should just be hitting its best by date.
It pours a really nice color. It is a clear vibrant gold with lots of tiny bobbles and a perfect white foamy golf-ball like head. As it slowly recedes it leaves a wall of lacing.
The smell is obviously a bit neutered. Both because of the freshness and the presumed pasteurization and trip over. But it smells pretty good nonetheless. It smells a bit like a Noble pils actually. It has a good deal of herbs and medicinal qualities in the smell along with a big hit of lime zest. There is also some earthiness and light sweet, fruity smelling malt. Definitely complex for a pils.
The flavor, whole not at is peak is still delicious and refreshing. It is nicely hopped with that fresh herb taste of noble hops and a light bitterness on the back end. The malts are still decent’y vibrant with some nice breadlike qualities. There is also a fruitiness/sweetness coming form the malt.
When fresh this thing is probably a beast. Get it as soon as you see it on the shelf in the US, but ideally go try it in Germany, it will be amazing.

One of my friends goes: "So, you know what really turns me on; when girls talk dirty in bed." Yeah I tried that with my wife. I said: "Hey, talk dirty to me." She said: "Go fuck yourself". Not that dirty.

Clear golden straw with no head. Massive buttery toffee in the nose give way to yucky buttery malts and caramel-diacetyl. Slippery palate. No fun.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Phil (175) - Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2011
Draught at the Mahr garden; under the chestnut trees in the sunshine on a white bench. This beer, and this brewery - do not suck. Excellent service considering how many beer-travellers they must get. Just lovely herby spicy clean golden hued brew. great fizz, not too much, just right. Loved it.

Golden limpid color, much clear with a very modest and lught bubbly aspect. Good head of hardly resistance. Not much perfumed, light motes of grains and cereals, grassy, soft malty. A little smooth taste, not much prickly, little watery, modest bitter and good alcohol content.
