From bottle at The Festival. Light gold pour with pure white foam. Really bready aroma, crisp pils malt, no real hops to speak of, and only light yeasty notes, very clean, easy drinking pils. Nice.

Draft at Alla Spina. Pours a light, clean straw with fluffy white head and lace. Nose of grass, hay, lemon. Light body. Good pils. Could drink this all day on a hot summer day.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is corn husk, straw, yeasty biscuit. The taste is high sweet and medium bitter. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean. The body is light and finish long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Prohibition Pig.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with small head.
Aroma : Rich malt with light honey. Spicy hops, light herbal notes.
Taste : Nice malt with light citrusy notes. Light spicy hops. Finish is quite malty with light citrusy notes and light spices.
Overall : Quite tasty and refreshing. A good pils is always a pleasure to drink. This one is fairly straight forward and doesn’t really stands out but is still pretty nice.

Bottle from the moan and dove. Pours an extremely light, straw yellow with a foamy steady white head. Nose is lightly grassy, biscuit malts, earth, light floral character. Flavor is similar, a tad metallic at times, and less hoppy than I prefer (even though prima pils isn’t exactly brewed to style).

A fine example of the style, though I was expecting it to be a bit cloudier due to it being German. I was also under the assumption that it was unfiltered, but I’m having a hard time telling if it is or not. Aroma is subtly floral. Upon tasting it is light, crisp, and refreshing almost like a Cezch style Pilsner. The malty sweetness is there just enough to give complexity to the dry hop finish, creating notes of fruit. I can’t place exactly what fruit, but I want to say apple. Pilsner was not a style that I originally enjoyed, but it has grown on me and I would drink this again any day.

bartlebier (1760) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2013
Draught at brewery + 50cl bottles - Tasted almost better from the bottle than I remember it at the brewery. Harmonious and well-rounded pilsner, very fresh with grassy-floral hops and less sweety "breadinness" than many other traditional Franconian pilsners/lagers. Hence, a great thirst quencher.

Russo (1685) - Campinas, BRAZIL - DEC 30, 2012
Light golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is malty, hints of cook, yeast and floral hop. Medium body with light carbonation. Flavor is bitter and refreshing. Mouthfeel is long and hoppy... lovely beer!

BMan1113VR (7864) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 22, 2012
On tap. Pours with a pale yellow hued body with a fading white head. Aromas are bready, grainy, apple (not really acetaldehyde), fruity, sulfur and a touch of hop character. Flavors are apple, watery, grainy, bready, high sulfur, low hops. Messy, watery and bland. Lively and dry, not a great pilsner.
