Made a good appearance, poured a hazy, with light amount of sediment, pilsener golden, that ripening banana yellow, with a foamy white head that settled into a thin, bubbly lacing, good carbonation.
Had a honey and lemony fruity nose with light spices and a sourdough breadiness.
A malty crisp and smooth medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability.
Honey, lemony and faint banana fruitiness, a sour bready maltiness, a light spiciness from hops that helps frame the taste and a dryish sour malty finish.
A good pilsener from Mahrs, one of favorite German brewers, tasty and refreshing.

Nose is malty, bready with hints of grass and butter. Taste is malty, bready with a long, very dry and bitter finish. A school book example of a classic german pils. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2005 Poured with a different look for a German pils ... hazy orange-yellow, with a less airy head. This has a more lemony aroma and smoother texture than most pilsners, almost with a lemon-soap tinge. Not the crisp starchy beer you may expect. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Pale yellow color, with slight haze, adorned with a fine, thick, bone-white head. Nose is soft & sweet, malty, light as a cloud, with distant floral, honey notes.
Clean entry on the tongue, sweet, pleasing and mild. Light body, delicate texture, thoroughly malty, and very, very smooth
Nearly no hops at all, but this is a German pils, and if you want something nice’n’easy, you can’t miss here.

Lightly flowery hop aroma with a sweet malt background.
Nicely hopped with sweet malt in the flavor. Not bad.
