3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Wino’s. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Banana ester aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with an earthy texture. Flavor of pale wheat malts with the banana bubble phenols, but not overpowering. The hops and clove really come out on the finish, almost creating somewhat of an off flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange color with a huge foamy orange-tan head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, honey, faint citrus and spritzy pineapple. The flavor was tangy and tart with notes of citrus, pineapple, toasted caramel and honey. Medium length finish. Medium body. Very pleasant.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Awesome stuff. Great to have a properly done hefeweizen from the source. Cloudy orange pour with velvety head and lacing. Light banana, light clove. Great balance, soft carbonation. Light sweet finish. Tap at Churchkey.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
@ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Clear deep orange amber, no head after 30 seconds, no lace. Taste is sweet malt that exposes a little biscuit and a little clove in the palate, before turning very slightly bitter with a bit of buttery prune in the finish. Pretty uncomplicated, somewhat light,

4oz pour at Churchkey. Inky orange with almost zero head. Nose has a lot of spice, some tropical fruit, pineapple, mango. Flavor is the same. All pineapple, clove, bubblegum, hay. Sweet finish.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of apple, faint banana, grain, and a touch of wheat. It pours a mostly transparent dark amber with a fizzy two finger off-white head that quickly fades to a thing ring around the edges of the glass. There’s barely any lacing. The flavor starts with with moderate apple, some residual sugar, and caramel. The finish has some light graininess, faint bubblegum, and the slightest hints of citrus. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Overall, I love Hefeweizens, but this simply isn’t what I’m looking for in the style. It’s way too sweet and doesn’t resemble a Hefeweizen at all.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Usual hefe aromas of banana and citrus, also sweetbread and aloe plant. Daek orange hazy color. Surprise bitter hop taste, but not to the extent that the sweet elements aren’t allowed to dominate. Cola consistency, that is to say, kind of syrupy. A wheat beer by any measure, but not classically a German hefe.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bready caramel nose. Cloudy brown, medium head. Extremely yeasty bread flavor, caramel accents. No hop character, no hefeweizen character. Fine beer, but perhaps this is an old boittle. I’m always happy to have a hefe, even if it isn’t hefe-y.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Super-cloudy dark orange with floaties and a white head. Aroma of ripe banana, orange and herbs. Taste is lightly sweet with tropical fruit and wood notes and a dry herbal-hop bitter finish. The hops are good in this one compared to American attempts at hoppy wheats that overpower with the citrus.
