Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig, würzig. Geschmack hefig fruchtig, reife Bananen, leicht würzig.

pours hazy pale yellow with a very small white cap, little to no retention, no lacing either. wheaty, peppery, slightly biscuity, few bananas, white wine, grassy, chalky, shy yeast - and its usual esters, particularly in this style. average carbonation, light body - watery, dry and crisp chalky-grassy-herbal finish. watered-down hefe. linear and forgettable.

weihenweizen (1507) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 29, 2014
Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours light tawny with some visible suspended yeast and small white head that fizzles out fast. Aroma is bready, medium body, medium carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is slightly sweet banana, some bread, and bubblegum. For $6 I will pass in the future.

Hazy dark straw color. Thin head that dissapated immediately. Aroma of peash and bread. Light citrus taste. Drinkable but not much in flavor department. Weak for the class.

0.5l bottle. Pale golden body, weak white head that disappears immediately. Aroma of bread and yeast. Taste of banana, yeast and floral hops. I’m not amazed by this beer at all.

Pours yellow and hazy with almost no head (surprisingly!). Aroma has a sour tinge, some yeast, fruits (strawberry, banana) and bubblegum. Creamy texture, fruity taste, full body.

On tap. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste of wheat, light citrus-y fruits, bread, banana, spices and yeast. Very sweet and easily drinkable and a definite hit in the sun.

Bottle at The Moan and Dove. Pours bright hazy yellow with towering, pillowy, white foamy head. What I really loved about the Dove was how they always serve what you order in the correct and matching glass. I’m snobby like that but somehow it makes the experience seem more authentic, like I am one step closer to drinking this IN Bamberg. Nose is light spice, clove, lemon verbena, hay, soft banana, yeast esters. Flavor is refreshing, lightly floral, more spice, banana yeasty at the end, but thankfully not too much. A classic beer in an old classic style. I wish we got Mahrs here in NC instead of the shit we get.
