Bottled: Spicy aroma, sweet (bubblegum). Very light yellow, hazy color. Small head, quickly diminishing. Flavor is fruity (citrus), wheaty and yeasty. Quite astringent finish. A bit light bodied and boring.

Reading BF 2007, I thought this was on draught, but I could be mistaken. Cloudy gold with lasting white head. Good estery banana aroma. Some bubblegum. I really like it, quite sweet. But highly drinkable.

Bottle @ Reading Beer Festival 07. Bubblegum and spice. Nice a fruity with a mild drinkable mouthfeel. Fairly standard weiss pleasant enough but a bit boring.

Looks just as it should. Tastes and smells just as it should. Have had better weiss beers.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2007 Bottle. Great cloudy opaque orange body. Nose of fruity bananas, lemon and even some nuts, like banana nut bread. Some mold in the nose as well. Lightly peppery taste, more bananas and lemon and even some sourdough tasted. Very drinkable.

Pours a slightly hazy pale orange with a quarter inch head that fades very quickly to a spotty cap and thin ring, leaving behind small amounts of lacing. This is much more clear that I would have expected from a hefe-weizen, and half-way through the glass the head completely disappeared, as well as any lacing.
Smell; fruity esters of banana, with some sweet honey and cloves. The wheat is present, but doesn’t seem to have as strong a presence as I would have liked.
Taste; the bananas and cloves are present, along with a very sweet honey-like flavor. As with the smell, the wheat is there just not in the way I think it should be for a hefe-weizen. There’s a kind of tanginess, that just seems out of place, and the second half of the glass a mild vinegar flavor came out that I did not enjoy. This just doesn’t really stack up to most of the other weizens that I’ve had in the past. Mouthfeel is very thin for a hefe, and due to the thinness and that strange tanginess, and eventual vinegar flavor, the drinkability is not there.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a little white head. Quite fruity aroma with banana, grape and bread tones. Flavour is slightly sour with a hoppy finish. Quite good.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2008 Poured with a very clear golden filtered look. The beer did not have a very heavy head when poured but the appearance overall was good to me. It had a very good aroma, but the taste was just slightly more sour than I would have wanted. It was crisp and flavorful, but not an overly complex weisse. Still it was appealing and very drinkable.
