Pretty much the way I like the weissbiers. For those acutally interested, it is a very light weissbier with adequate carbonation leading to a very good head retention in the first 20 minutes or so of consumption. This is a very balanced weissbier in terms of both aroma with good levels of banana type esters and clove phenolics with the addition of a particularly enjoyable level of wheat tartness. The sample I had is amongst the better bottle weissbiers I have yet had. 4.0 16/06/04

Yields a bright golden color with a bubbly, big white head. Smells of a peppery yeast profile, revealing ripe bananas among wet grass and crisp lemon peel, tied together by a pleasant tart note. Has a very soft, medium carbonation, complimenting to the refreshing, pleasantly complex light body. Smells of dried leaves, toffee, straw and a refreshing tart whiff. Peppery banana adds perfectly to the straw and toffee flavours, establishing a banana driven sweetness. Finishes soft, with even more straw and an aqueous silkness, while some spices still manage to cut through. Refreshing, a bit thin and a bit too sweet with a well working, soothing finish.

In short: tart whet ale.
Pours hazy very pale gold, with frothy white head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Citrusy, herbal, some clove and little tart nose. Light body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is little tart, some banana, citrusy, quite a lot yeast esters. Plain.

Color is milky yellow, bright for a hefeweizen (more like a Belgian wit). Aroma is sweet fruits and bananas, typical for this style, also a hint of vanilla. Taste is pleasant with a long aftertaste. You do not get a lot of body, but you get a lot of the carbon dioxides in your mouth and on the tongue. Not bad, but also nothing special..
