COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

(bottle) pours a murky golden-amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of heavy barnyard, bubble gum and pineapple, slightly sugary, with a hint of paint thinner. flavour is caramel, light popcorn and milk chocolate, quite sweet and grainy, with a hint of herbal hops. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

Starts with malty sweetness and slightly bitter fruity notes. This is obviously an ale, not a lager. The brewery says it is a dry-hopped, top-fermented beer, which makes it a rarity among Franconian beers. Carbonation is a bit too strong. Hops are present but they are not very aromatic, nor can they stand up to the sweetness which has become rather unpleasant by now. Finish is bitter but dull, without hop aromas. - This is a rather unsuccessful attempt at creating a new taste (“neue Geschmackskreationen”, as the brewery calls it) without leaving well-trodden paths. So far, the result is not convincing.

The head is stable, the body orange. It smells fruity, maltaromatic. The taste is fruity, orange, hoppy-tasty, maltaromatic, hoparomatic. Overall nice! 12/11/12/11/11/12

Bottle: Deep golden, a bit unclear, smaller - slowly diminishimg - yellowish head, mild - but distinctive - herbal-hoppy aromas in the mildly-fruity and grainy nose, presumably slight traces of cinnamon detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty soft, light to medium bodied; lingering fruity and hoppy finish. Very pleasant stuff - from Franconia…

bottle (5.9%), mit Dank an G! Hazy deep golden colour, large off-white head. Resiny hop aroma with a touch of lemon. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with a good amount of resiny and citrusy hops. A touch of dark malts is also present. Very nice.

(bottle) Hazy, golden to amber colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and bready (cara-)malty aroma with hints of grain, subtle fruity notes and a tinge of spicy hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Fruity malty taste with grainy notes and a touch of white bread; hops are present but stay in the background at first to evolve a bit during the mildly fruity malty finish with a mildly grainy aftertaste. Very pleasant. 16.XI.12
