COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

bottle, at cafe abseits. quite a light shade of amber, lasting head; aroma of caramel, wooden floorboards, old newspaper; hints of menthol freshen things up, a decent quaffer. for no good reason, i blended this with the mainseidla porter to create a franconian obergaerig polotmavy that i liked a bit better

Bottled (from BDX). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, peachy, some floral notes as well as sweet malts. Flavour is quite strong on the crystal maltiness, but does have a mellow and nice tropical fruity and floral hoppiness kicking in to give it a nice balance.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, light caramel and bread with some tropical fruitiness, some citrus/herbal hoppyness. Body is medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light caramel and light tropical fruitiness with light citrus/herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, faint caramel and light tropical fruitiness, light - some citrus/herbal hoppyness. Interesting decently hopped amber ale - not too sweet. Bit too much caramel.
