Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Pours cloudy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is banana and some citrus.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein milchig trübes goldenes Bier mit schnell verschwindener Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, würzig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack sehr aromatisch fruchtig, leicht bananig, würzig, Nelke.

Bottle 0.5l. Pours hazy yellow with large white head. Aroma has banana, clove, typical wheat. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter, slightly sour, fruity, yeast. Soft carbonation. Excellent Weißbier which is in my opinion perfectly balanced. Very refreshing and not extremely wheaty like so many others.

Bottle at the brewery. Cloudy pale gold lasting white head. Fresh yeasty aroma with esters. Flavour is full. The best weisse so far by quite some way. Some tropical fruit. Don’t know how they do it but one of the best breweries in Franconia. Good weisse. Right mix of hop wheat esters. Really good.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 maybe the best-smelling weizen I’ve had in a few years: every ingredient is very distinct and very rich-smelling, and nothing is muddled or muted at all. estery and phenolic tropical fruit (thankfully more complex than simply banana and clove esters, though those are in there as well). pepper and citric hop aroma with a similarly zesty hop flavor and relatively high bitterness for the style. tart, minerally, medium sweetness, medium-high bitterness. wonderfully rigid and firm malt presence in the mouth; quenching, salivating acid. again, everything here is presented with vibrancy, yet the balance is still maintained. my favorite weizen of this trip so far.

bottle, Dank nach BO! Cloudy pale yellow, creamy white head. Slightly fruity start with yeasty hints. Smooth palate. Another good one from this new brewery.

(bottle) Foggy, orange-golden colour with a blond and huge foamy head. Slightly acidic fruity aroma with notes of citrus, shades of banana and a moderate wheat-character, accompanied by delicately phenolic spices. Slightly bitter and sour flavour, rather light bodied with a modest carbonation for a Weizen. Fruity wheat-malty taste with notes of citrus; slightly sour, wheaty and mildly phenolic finish. Not an outstanding but refreshing Hefeweizen. 19.XI.12

Bottle: golden to orangey, cloudy, smaller off-white loose head, yeasty-wheaty nose with a slight trace of bubblegum or raspberries; light to moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, almost medium bodied , smooth and creamy; slightly lingering sourish and tart-yeasty finish with a fruity-yeasty touch. O.K., a quite well composed Weizen...
