As the flagship of the Dergy’s line of beers, this light pale ale has a subtle hop and malt flavor.

way to sweet for me, but bette than the other beers I had to choose from in central NC.

Golden yellow color with a big head that dissipates quickly. Pretty carbonated. Not great but not too bad.

3/3/04 Bottle. As with the others, label claims Wilmington, NC but everything else matches this description. Slightly cloudy golden color. Only a thin film of a head that clings at the edges. Pretty carbonation that continues and sticks around. Aromas of cooked carrots and brussels sprouts, Fruit Loops cereal, whole grain bread, creamsicle. Flavor is canned peaches, biscuit dough, honey and butter. Then it all disappears for a quick finish with a juicy burst of tart hops. Not well balanced at all; a nice herbal quality would really even this beer out.

I have not enjoyed this brewers products and this light weight one does not help my opinion

A beer that pours a golden yellow color with a big head that dissappeared quick It however did stay lacy on top.Full of malt n hop flavor but nothing more than that

Another very decent entry from this underrated small brewer. Pleasant, light malty aroma with some wort-like essence to it. Light golden, cloudy appearance with a clingy white head - good lacing. Tart, spicy flavor - much more body than your run-of-the-mill blond ale. Maltiness comes through in the aftertaste and sticks around to create a great mouthfeel. A tad bit too much carbonation though if I have to find a fault. Overall, a decent blond ale. Recommended.

Is this brewed in NC or VA? It's labled in NC, but they have it listed here under Main Street, where they sell it. Hmmm... Anyway ... light metallic orange, virtually no head. Light lemony aroma. Flavor is a positive surpirse ... robust and flowery.

Bottle. A slightly hazy golden color with a laced tan head. A caramel and malt aroma that isn't bad, but it just dies on the flavor and palate. My bottle was from the NC brewer. I don't know if there is a difference.

light brown, nice rich nose. this was fairly tasty, i was thinking it might be too carbonated as dergy’s were wont to be in the past. but it wasn’t. and i love that malty flavor, reminds me of a (less in your face) taste from a flying fish or north coast ale. and dang, what a bargain. (less than $5)

All malt nose. Peachy brown. Strong malt, grain and nut flavor with hops kincking in in the middle palate. Bittering hops linger on the palate. Recommend with Italian food. Good value @ $4.49/6. Overall very wort-y tasting -- reminds me a little of an ale version of Hatuey.
