0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Quite watery and thin. You can taste the alcohol and the presence of honey is lacking. The aftertaste suggests the secret ingrediant was a pair of old gym socks. Note: i re-rated this pig vomit, its got no head AT ALL, and no carbonation. my first homebrew was better than this. If there is any justice these people will go bankrupt.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
A pretty terrible excuse for a honey blonde. There is little flavour here that points to honey, Iím not surprised this was retired.

The discription calls this a drinkable blonde ale. Well they lied this is not drinkable and has no reason to exist.

Not a huge fan of this one. Pretty fizzy.Highly carbonated. Flavor was too bad, not a lot of honey. Might not get this one again.

1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
3/3/04 Bottle. Label claims Wilmington Brewing, NC but labels and beer names match this description. Pale honey (imagine that) color is actually quite attractive - medium to small, fizzy head that vaporizes to a trace. Minimal visible carbonation. Smells like a honey hard candy or one of those honey throat lozenges, white bread lightly toasted. So far so good. Malty sweetness up front changing quickly to bell pepper, sweaty t-shirt (and not in a good way). A tingling astringency follows. A truly horrible flavor and palate after a promising appearance and aroma - a trend with this breweries products, I think. Drain Pour.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Did not go down as well as the Amber Ale. Head was fluffy white but dissipated quickly - not much lacing. Appearance is slightly cloudy - looks like liquid honey. Aroma - slightly sweet - honey is almost identifiable. Flavor - intially sweet, but a chemically aftertaste diminshes my enthusiasm for this.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Delicious malt, honey and vanilla nose. Tall, persistant, granular/chainmail head. Highly carbonated. Very clean ale, not overpowering in the honey dept. Though the yeasting is very different, this reminds me of a golden Belgian ale in the palate. Very clean and good.

Wasnít great, but it certainly wasnít as bad as the 1.72 rating it currently has. I would say that this is average, and it actually tastes alot better warm.

These guys just canít get it together with their consistency. Overall the Dergyís line-up of beers are pretty bad. The Honey Blond I tried seemed to have a slight bacterial or wild yeast infection. It was a gusher and had some notable vinegar qualities. For the most part their beers are very fizzy and overcarbonated. However, the last time I tried one of their Amber Ales, it was as flat as could be. BAD STUFF!!
