Commercial Description:
An English style mild Ale. Brewed with Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt, Caramel Malt, Chocolate Malt, Wheat and Flaked Barley and hopped with Northern Brewer and Liberty hops. Dispensed with nitrogen, with a dark color and light flavor and body this is a great session beer.

Deep black. Milky and charcoal-like nose. Weird woody and milky flavor, wood barrel... just a weird feeling. Long lasting woody finish.

RBSG 2004, on tap at the brewpub: Dark brown with no head, sweet malty aroma, sharp ringwood taste, light watery body. Eh.

(RBSG04) Brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roasty, caramel, some chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, RIngwood, earthy, grapefruit, some cherry. Lightly carbonated, light-medium body. Tastes more like a porter than their porter.

Tap. Finally I have a mild ale. Very dark - looks like a stout. WTF?? Little discernerable smell. Tastes like dark malts; and the weak finish made it TOO mild to be good. Disappointing. Too much Ringwood yeast.

Black opaque color with a lasting sticky tan head & lots of lacing. The aroma has a touch of roast but is mainly watery with some malt body & a little alcohol sweetness. Finishes with a large body for the ABV.
