Enjoyable, with some very nice orange citric truitiness, that is like biting into a fresh tangerine and sucking on the rind. A great hop profile, that turns slightly smokey, with some muted woodiness and some sweet honey and just a hint of vanilla smokiness. A surprisingly decent beer.

Tap at Horsebrass. Clear, medium amber colored with a fast fading white head. Fair lacing left behind. A somewhat peaty aroma? some earthy hops and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied with pleasant carbonation. Interesting dulled down scotch whiskey flavors. Earthy bitterness with floral notes. Decent, interesting.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - AUG 30, 2005
On tap at the 2005 OBF. Pours a glowing orange, very clear, with a smooth tall white head. Tastes a bit like sweet orange candy, very citrusy in every aspect of this beerl, kinda like a orange lollypop or some orange flavored honey. The abv was hidden very well behind a nice warm sweetness up front and well balanced finish.

Amber red hues with a foamy head and spotty lace. Fairly active carbonation. Honey and caramel malts in the nose. Floral hops as well. Musky malts with some honey that’s slightly bitter. Finishes malty with some fruitiness.

Deep orange - just a shade darker than their hefe. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. Interesting malts ... very fruity, juicy, and tasty, with mild grain flavors and a cereal-with-milk sweetness. Hops were mild (flowery), but pleasant. Well made. Kept my attention.

Tap. Yeah, yeah, typical pale-clear-whatever. I don’t see what’s special about this; seems like a plain old pale ale with a bad aftertaste. I don’t see how they packed 9% ABV into it either.
