500 ml bottle shared by birchstick- thanks again, Jon! Pours a clear, rich amber color with a small off-white head. Caramel malts provide a nice sweet malty backbone to the grapefruit citrus, grassy hops, and woodsy notes. The aroma and flavor are just about identical. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a resinous mouthfeel. Pretty great amber ale. I like this brewer a lot.

Citrus hop aromas. Pours a deep amber with a creamy head. Flavors of citrus hop notes balanced by sweet malt. Overall a pretty solid amber.

[500ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk][bottle 02011] Deep burgundy pour. Hoppy aroma – really reminded me of something closer to home - 5am Saint. Malty, reasonably sweet, roasty finish. Very easy to drink – not much alcohol in evidence. Plenty of balanced flavours here, it ends in a roasty, toasted dry finish. Love the label artwork [13012012]

This poured a darker red color with an off white head. Aroma was lots of citrusy and lemony hops, with some grassy and herbal notes too. some toasted grain is there as well. Flavor was a great balance of slightly sweet and slightly toast malt with nice grassy and herbal ho;s. Awesome amber.

500ml bottle in a shaker. Pours deep amber with a thick, fluffy, light tan head. Aroma of caramel malts and some cereal and bread plus a lot of citrusy and piney hops. Flavor about the same, strong on the hops. Smooth texture. A really good beer.

Amber colored, lots of healthy foam. Aroma is caramels, spicy hops, earthy. Taste is similar, seems a touch too sweet for my taste, or at least since I’m expecting IPA because of the hops it seems too sweet. I dunno, good for an amber ale, but then again because of the massive hops it isn’t really technically an amber.

In bottle. Pours a hazel colour with a thin, light tan head. Lovely hoppy aroma of pine, pineapple, passion fruit and coffee. Similar flavours with pine, pineapple, coffee and roasty malt. Moderate carbonation with a foamy mouth-feel and a dry finish. Lovely.
