4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2015 Bottle from high spirits. Light-amber-gold, slight haze, 2 inches of warm frothy creme brulee head that fades at a moderate rate to ocean foam. Aroma is strong berry, moderate orange, sweet grapefruit, some passion fruit, lychee, a touch of floral-honey sweetness underneath it all. Body is light-medium-light, watery-oily a touch starchy, medium-light carbonation of moderate coarseness, soft and soapy on the palate with light burn. Surprisingly inviscid. Flavor is lots of sweet orange, bit of sweet grapefruit, some passion fruit and gauva, pear. Green sap leading into foresty bitterness that doesn’t linger and certainly has no astringency. A refreshing finish. I am thoroughly impressed. I worry that these beers will suffer as the fill they shelves. Storage/distribution is part of the reason why the beers are so good. Wonder why Limbo IPA isn’t as good as it was when it first came out? That’s exactly why. Refrigeration is key though, so I’m hopeful! Of course, selling these at 8$ a bottle is likely not sustainable.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted on tap at Headquarters Beercade. It poured a rich, clear amber with a quickly dissipating white head and streaky lacing. Grapefruit aroma with a powerful hop taste, a citrus backbone and a bitter finish. Tasty!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Mugs Alehouse, New York. Colour is clear light.orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops, minerals, hops and malts. Hard to find any fruit or hop profile. This is totally different than any other IPAs I have had before. Very nice in fact. Superb drinkability.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Of all the hyped ipas I’ve had this one I found deserving. Balanced to perfection, not boredom (bells two hearted). This uses classic hops for a pine citrus bouquet in aroma and flavor. This would be the perfect IPA to drink everyday. Its too bad that finding it is like winning a kind of lottery and its priced like something that transcends what it is.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Lovely floral aroma of fresh-cut hay, pine, and grass. Pours a clear golden straw with a fresh-white head. Very floral taste of honeysuckle and lemongrass with surprisingly light bitterness when compared with the nose. Extremely clean finish. A good IPA, but, in my opinion, it doesn’t quite merit its high marks.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a three finger, white frothy lasting head that leaves excellent lacing. aroma of pine, faint notes of peach, stronger floral notes and citrus. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, flavors of grapefruit and caramel, average to soft carbo, medium body, and a grassy lightly bitter finish. Not as well balanced and claimed.

Poured a honey, orange, hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky, white head. Calm setting underneath the top. Good, uneven, spiderweb lacing on the sides of the glass. Above average retention. (Sight - 4.13)
Smelled a nice, potent whiff of flavorful hops. Got floral, Citra, Amarillo, resin and tropical. (Smell - 4.75)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still good. Got floral, Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra, tropical, Centennial (I think), grapefruit juice, nectarine rind, mango, orange, faint pineapple and lemon zest. Very tasty. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, slightly bitter finish. Somewhat refreshing. (Feel - 4.00)
This was just a fantastic IPA. Would love to try this again. Great beer. (Overall - 4.50)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hoppy and malty aroma. More piney hops than citrusy. Taste is malty with a nice piney hoppiness. But it isn’t resiny piney hops. It is very balanced and nice. Generally I don’t like the more piney hop beers, but this one is so balanced with all the flavors it is quite enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
