Our “East Coast” version of a West Coast-style IPA. Intense hop flavors and aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and pine dominate. A subtle malt sweetness brings the beer into balance.

Bottle from Plainfield Hardware in Vermont. My kind of hardware store! Hazy golden color, large fluffy white head. Aroma of grass, flowers, pineapple, citrus. Taste has lots of citrus, fruit and light spice, solid malt backbone. Very nice.

Bottle at Chriso Tasting, London. Many thanks to ChrisO! Pours perfectly clear gold with a large, white foam head. Fresh citrus nose, somewhat juicy, lots of melon and orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with dry citrus and pine needles. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean finish with some dry citrus, dry pine. Great balance.

Tap at the Ginger Man, Manhattan - 29/05/12. Slightly hazy golden orange with a medium cream head. Citrus hops and pine dance out of the glass. Hops in the taste, pine, well balanced sweetish malt and caramel. Spot on ! Lighter end of medium bodied and matching carbonation, very smooth drinking, great consistency with a medium bitter finish. Excellent beer probably the best IPA I’ve tasted !

A: The pour on this is an orange-ish color with a big white head and some sticky lacing. S: The nose starts out with a sharp citrus note of lemon zest and grapefruit. Beyond the citrus, there is a somewhat mild pine and a nice bit of floral character. It’s rounded out with just a little bit malt. T: Things aren’t too different on the palate. Opens up with some bread and citrus along a decent pine note. There is a mild to moderate bitterness as well as a nice fruitiness from the hops, particularly grapefruit and mild pineapple. M: The body and carbonation both sit at medium. O: Wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into with this one, but it was a pretty nice IPA.
