Our American-style stout aged on organic vanilla beans. Intense notes of coffee and dark chocolate lead way to subtle notes of natural vanilla. Flaked oats generate a silky mouthfeel.

Bottle thanks to trade with phatdog1! Pours an opaque brownish black with bubbly tan head dissipates to leave good lacing. Aroma is nice dark and sweet chocolate, hints of roasted malt and toffee. Taste is more mellow than the nose, but still nice. Great balance and thick mouth, well done.

Predominately a milk chocolate nose, with a tad of vanilla. Pour is very dark with a thick bubbly tan head. Taste is heavily roasted, dry, rich, thick, a bit of dark chocolate. Decent. Bottle from Nathaniels.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 My Bottom Line:
Roastiness, dark chocolate and vanilla merge for the tastiest of results as they are joined for the long run in the finish by precise hop resins.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam settles atop the impenetrable darkness.
-Vanilla dosage is wisely done. Just enough to add character while never getting close to being sickening (like it can easily be).
-This gets more and more engaging as you down the pint.
-The mouthfeel is rich yet approachable.

Bottle from HOTB. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla. Tastes slightly sweet and nutty. Dryish finish. Not much carbonation and a bit on the thinner side but a well done stout.

On tap @ the brewery. Very dark brown body, opaque even in the 5oz sample snifter. Rich aroma of Coffee Crisp chocolate bars, roasty and sweet with a light nuttiness. Same flavours on the palate in terrific density, along with a lovely mild vanilla sweetness, finishing with a roasty dry bitterness in perfect balance. A beautiful drinkable flavourful stout. Just awesome.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a near clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of vanilla and oats with a bit of underlying sweet dark grains. Flavor has sweet dark grains and sweet chocolate with oats and a good amount of vanilla.

Good. Clean tasting, technically impressive, like most MBC beers. Don't really get the vanilla flavor, though, and there's not much unique to it. Worth trying, but fairly expensive for what it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle... Poured thick black with sudsy tan head. Nose had bitter-sweet molasses along with vanilla and a hint of roast. Tasted of mocha coffee along with roasted grains and a decent vanilla presence. Depending on your sensitivity to vanilla this could either way for you. However, it worked well for myself.
